EAF C slag processing plant - SIJ Acroni, Slovenia

Within the RIS-ALiCE project, SIJ Acroni, a member of the largest Slovenian steel producer - Slovenian steel group, organized a site visit of their slag processing plant. The event was organized on October 22 for the Slovenian partners of the RIS-ALiCE project (Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute, Salonit Anhovo cement plant, Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant, Geological Survey of Slovenia and Lucis. Along with the visit of slag processing plant for the electric arc furnace carbon steel slag (EAF C slag) the program also included lectures comprising a general presentation of the company and the sustainability slag processing description. Participants were pleased with the visit. Most of them saw for the first-time slag processing plant in operation.
